God "updates" us.
We might not always like the update or like the interruption or like the down time, but it is part of THE PLAN.
I posted this because my phone has been updated a couple of times lately, as has my computer and various apps or programs on our electronics.
However, unlike the updates from earthly and human sources, God's updates are always timely and perfect. They are always what we need. He is never finished with us.

I never regret the course of my life (easy or hard) because God never makes mistakes or fails. God always has a reason.
I have always taught and preached that we should live without regret. In other words, live in such a way that you obey and follow God. In following God there will be disappointments, either because of our own failure to follow and trust God or because other people have done things that were sinful. But I have never regretted the times or places or people or ministries or even the lessons God has led me into.
God leads His children. If we don't follow we should repent (turn around) and follow. If God teaches us a lesson, we should learn it and move on. If we are stuck in a failure mode, it is our own fault. We should never complain because it indicates that we think God has failed.
Philippians 4:11-13
11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Got an angry call in the 80s saying,
"You call your bar a church."
There was an "Anchor Bar" in Buffalo NY, home of Buffalo Wings.
WOW.
We had a huge sign on our storefront church in Morehead that said, "ANCHOR CHURCH." I took the name from Hebrews 6:18.
I believe it was a Marine, driving on Arendell Street, who saw our sign and called my number. I was shocked (since I had never heard of, Anchor Bar) and explained that we actually were a church and not a bar, and I told him the Biblical reason for our name.
Today i saw a post referencing the historic Anchor Bar in Buffalo NY, which is the Home of Buffalo Wings. I wonder if that is why the Marine thought we were a bar? Maybe he knew about the bar in NY.

The present threat is an overthrow of all decency and morality, enforced by rabid persecution. The only hope is to head for the hill called Mt. Calvary and to get aboard the Old Ship of Zion (God's Ark of safety), the salvation preached by the true Church.
It looks like it won't be long before Christ snatches His Bride away and the world falls into a darkness and Divine judgment greater than it has ever experienced. YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO MISS THE RAPTURE. The world will become more devilish than anyone can imagine.If you have heard the gospel and rejected it, you will not get saved if you get left behind. DON'T GET UPSET WITH ME, I JUST ADDRESS THE MADNESS, I DID NOT CREATE IT.
I am often told by those who advance the doctrines of sinning religion that God is not glorified if man has any part in his own salvation; that God is only or best glorified by saving a person aside from any human effort or participation. They claim that the will and actions of man have no effect on their salvation.
If that is true (but it is not, since it contradicts the clearly revealed word of God), then why wouldn't a believer in sinning religion deliberately NOT confess, NOT believe, NOT repent, NOT follow Jesus, NOT obey God since doing any of those things is considered to be "works of the flesh?" (At least that is what they tell me when I tell them that man is required by God to believe, confess, repent, follow Jesus and obey God). If they really believe that God unilaterally and unconditionally elects people to eternal life, then they should have no problem just allowing God to save them without any personal response to the gospel message.
Many of them who claim they believe that anything a person may do to receive salvation is an act of "self righteousness," but they are not willing to live by their claims, because they know differently, down deep inside. They are willing to play games with other people's souls, so why won't they just swear off all "works of the flesh," such as believing, confessing, repenting and obeying Jesus?

Modern Americans (including Christians) desert God, family, morals and country when the enemy says "Boo" today.
TIME TO STAND.
I originally had a different last sentence to this post. But as I thought about it, I realized that there are three reasons for such desertion. I had said, "COWARDS AND TRAITORS,"
HOWEVER, there is a third, and very significant group; the MISLED. Sadly there are a great number of pastors who have been led astray by Satan, and in return they lead parishioners astray. Therefore, I would have said, MISGUIDED, COWARDS AND TRAITORS, but there was not enough room if I wanted a colorful background.

CATCHING A CHANNEL BASS AT GALLANT CHANNEL
I decided to run down to the Beaufort bridge and go fishing for a little while. I took a cast net and Quinten took his rod and reel. Quinten wanted me to hook and line for a while, and I caught a nice little Puppy Drum. He was really thick, but only 16 1/2 inches long (Reds need to be 18 inches long), so we released him. These are really pretty fish.
