IT DID NOT HAPPEN OVER NIGHT
When the brother mentioned that there were very few (if any) young adults or children in his church anymore, he went on to say that they go to Wade's Shore or the Cape on Sundays. I told him that no one was going to get to heaven on a Marsh Pony.
It took a while for individuals and families and whole communities, to get to the point that they shut God out of their lives. Though salvation happens in a moment, it can take people a long time to come to that moment of faith, repentance, confession, surrender. In fact, the lost may be so entangled with their own ways that they never accept God's ways into their lives.
