09/16/19 MAKE THE RIGHT COMMITMENT

Deliberately accomplish the will of God by obeying and pleasing Him, rather than through default, by choosing to do evil.

James 1:19-22
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
*20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
*22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

1 John 3:22
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

1 Samuel 15:22
22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? *Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
