02/07/19 SHORT SEASON

02/07/19 SHORT SEASON

There are "pleasures in sin for a season," but the season is much shorter than you may think. (He. 11:25)

Hebrews 11:24-27
24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

Notice, Moses made the choice not to enjoy the pleasures of sin and the power of position, but rather chose to suffer affliction with the people of God.
Notice "too," Moses counted the suffering, the loss of worldly treasure to be insignificant, compared to a right relationship with Christ and His people.
Notice three, Moses did not misunderstand the cost. He chose not to fear the wrath of the king, by keeping his eye on the One Who is invisible.
