11/15/19 BACKSLIDER'S LIFE CYCLE

Backslider's Life Cycle: born with carnality (covered by Christ); commits sin (lost); converted (saved), possibly purified by the fullness of the Holy Spirit; growth in grace; returns to sin (lost); either repents and returns to faith in Christ or continues in sin.
Remember, we are saved by grace through faith (Ep. 2:8) and we are children of God by faith (Ga. 3:26) and without faith it is impossible to please God (He. 11:6).

This document contains over 23,000 words with 310 Biblical references from 37 different Bible books, totaling more than 500 verses. There are 43 Old Testament references from 11 different books with 81 verses. There are more than 266 New Testament references from 26 different books with over 400 separate verses. Though I do repeat some verses, these stats only reflect separate verses. There is a list of verses at the end of this document.

I realize that voluminous references do not always prove a point, however, I am demonstrating that either “sin separates us from God or God separates us from sin” is found in the entire Bible and is totally consistent with New Testament Christianity. The position I am presenting is neither obscure nor strange to Biblical or historic Christianity.
