11/14/19 NOT SHADOW OR SPECULATION BUT SUBSTANCE

We're not called to keep O.T. laws and feasts.
We're not able to understand all prophecy.
But we must know and follow N.T. teaching.

Do not be one of those believers who is enticed to trade N.T. Substance for O.T. Shadows and End Time Speculation.

The Old Testament is God's word, but it was God's revelation to Israel, pointing forward to the time of Christ and the New Testament. We are not under the sacrificial, dietary, feast, ceremonial laws of Israel.
We can learn truth from the O.T. but we are not suppose to be "O.T. Christians" (since there is no such thing).

End Time prophecies are God's revelation too, and given to us as a comfort and encouragement. However, we cannot understand all of the End Time events at this time, nor are we expected to understand it all. Prophecy becomes clearer as we get closer to its fulfillment.
There are prophecies that we can understand and should understand. God revealed future events, but we are not called to make those prophecies come true. We are expected to live in anticipation of the Return of Christ (Rapture).

The problem is that people want to form their salvation experience around O.T. revelation or End Times revelation, and they neglect or abandon sound N.T. revelation. Their choice to live in the Shadows and Speculations rob them of the Substance. Christians are often led to think that Shadows and Speculation is more important that Substance.

I appreciate the O.T. and End Times revelations of the Bible. They can help us understand God's plan for this world and our own lives. They can serve a great purpose in our walk and our witnessing. But we need more people filled with the revelation of God's deliverance, as it is given in the New Testament.
