08/06/19 GAIN AND FAR BETTER

08/06/19 GAIN AND FAR BETTER

As Philippians 1:21 is Divine truth, so also is 1:22-24 and, it is experientially true in my life.

FOR ME TO LIVE IS CHRIST and DIE IS GAIN

Philippians 1:21
21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

MY CHRISTIAN LIFE IN THE FLESH IS NEEDFUL FOR OTHERS, BUT TO DIE WILL BE LIFE WITH CHRIST IN A FAR BETTER PLACE
Philippians 1:22-24

22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

Going to be with Christ (even through death) is to the believer's benefit and far better than living in this vale of tears, but our life in this world is beneficial to others. This is why Paul was torn between the two.

Likewise, I look forward to the time I will go to be with the Lord (hoping it will be in the Rapture), however, I want to minister to loved ones and teach them the glorious truths I have learned from God.

I recoil when I think about leaving loved ones behind. But I also cringe to think that I might suffer the loss of loved ones who are taken in death.

We all have so much to do.
We all need to live a life that will make it clear to others that we lived Christlike and victorious lives.
We need to leave a clear path for others to see and follow, as they continue on this earthly path.
