Did you change your view about anything when you got saved? Since you got saved? Is it possible to still learn something?

The more we have been immersed in social, cultural, religious teaching, which is contrary to Biblical revelation, the harder it is to align our thinking and understanding with God's view. Though it is difficult for people to turn from well established beliefs and behavior, it is essential for believers to turn from that which is contrary to God's revelation and God's standard for our lives and to walk in the light of what the Bible actually says.

Some of our un-Biblical views are deep seated and we may even believe that they are Biblical in origin. It is especially difficult to lead a believer out of the false light of western values supposedly based on sound religious training.
This is true for those who are raised outside of Christian religion.
This is true for those who are raised outside of Evangelical heritage.
This is true for those who are raised within solid Evangelicalism.

But we must remember, there are almost two thousand years that separate us from the revelation of God to the early Church.

While we would all have to make surface changes in our lives, in order to fit into an early church moment, we should not have to have a major heart overhaul in order to fit into a New Testament setting.

In fact, Biblical, true Christian views are able to transcend time and space. Our view of Biblical Christianity should be at home, regardless of where we live in the world today.

Surface issues may change, but foundational truths remain the same. Therefore, we ought to be ready, willing and eager to make the changes that conform us to a New Testament view of life.
