04/08/19 WHY JESUS CAME
Jesus did not come to restore a failed culture or reform a faulty religious system, but to transform a fallen humanity.
Islam claims that their god, Allah, requires Arabic as the language of Islam and basically requires people to accept laws and culture of the 7th century to replace laws and culture of all climes and times.
JESUS on the other hand, meets us where we are and only requires that we turn from sin. We worship Him in our present culture and with our various languages.
Jesus did not come to bind us with rules and regulations religion, but to save us from our sins. The difference is seen in Christians in that Christians follow Jesus in righteousness. Jesus is not seeking to exalt culture or man-made standards. Jesus wants to transform us into new creations. He wants to conform us to His image, rather than the image of a previous hero of time and culture.
