03/06/19 BEWARE THE CODES

03/06/19 BEWARE THE CODES

My "CODE" is:
Claiming "special revelation" about Divine revelation already in the Bible is the way to popularity. (smile)

I have been looking at some of the popular "Christian" writers and media giants of today and find that they claim to have SPECIAL insights (sometimes referred to as CODES), when in reality they are just repeating or teaching something that has been around for a long time. Sometimes what they teach is even true.

For instance, I have read some of their "Code" messages and and watched some of their CODE videos, and they were exactly the same as the Bible hermeneutics (Bible interpretation principles) that is basic in ministry studies. Not all hermeneutical views are sound or accurate, but they are part of the historic landscape of Bible interpretation. I learned some of the same material, information that these INSIGHTFUL GURUS are claiming to be CODES. I would have never thought to take credit for someone else's hard work in research. Among other things, it is dishonest.

It bothers me that a person would claim to have broken a "BIBLE CODE," for several reasons.

IT AIN'T TRUE. They simply took the hard work of other people, slapped the word "CODE" on it, put it in a video or book and sold it for a "donation," as if they had gotten a special revelation or they had discovered a long lost truth or they were smarter than the average bear. If they are going to take credit for something that they did not do, then I don't trust them, even when they tell the truth.

IT AIN'T NEW. This form of communication has been around for a very long time. In fact, it is a practice of false religion. The Gnostics claimed special revelation or knowledge. "KNOWING SPECIAL INFORMATION" indicates a person's closeness to "god," according to this ancient deceptive device. Claiming to have discovered a CODE is contrary to sound Biblical interpretation and is a denial in the nature of the word of God. You see this in the cults, when they EXPLAIN the real meaning of the Bible with a new Bible or revelation or teaching or prophet.

I ADMIT, I tell things that are "new" to people, but I don't claim it is new. And I don't claim "special" insight or revelation. IT IS IN THE BOOK, and has been for a long time.

People are more excited by new revelations, codes, "word of knowledge," "teachings" than they are the WORD OF GOD. Of course, new knowledge make people smarter than other people. However, the goal is not to see who can be the smartest or most knowledgeable. The goal is to conform us to the image of Jesus.
