03/27/19 LOYALTY IS NOT GUARANTEED IN AN OATH
Swearing, oathing or pledging does not prove loyalty.
Not swearing, oathing or pledging does not preclude loyalty.
EITHER WAY
I
originally thought about using the word, "insure" instead of, "prove." I
could have used either word, but because of space I chose only one, and
settled on, "prove."
There are plenty of people who swear a vow, oath, pledge, but are lying when they promise their loyalty.
There
are people (including Bible believing Christians) who do not swear a
vow, oath or pledge, but they will honor their given word, since they do
not lie.
There are plenty of people who have sworn a
vow, oath, pledge, but have not honored their vow. We find some of
these people in politics and some of them in the service of their
country or community, through military or police or justice system.
