03/02/19 DEVOLUTION OF THE CHURCH

03/02/19 DEVOLUTION OF THE CHURCH

The nature and image of Christendom changed from the Biblical Church model, to the Catholic model in 325 AD.

UPDATE
The Protestant Reformation and many Back to the Bible movements have taken place during the last 1600 years. During that time some good steps were taken to return to Biblical Christianity, but the deformities and scars of false doctrine still mark most of the modern, western "Church."

It is always difficult to cut ties with religious groups, even when people see that those groups are not true followers of Christ and the Bible. Though there were some significant changes made during the Protestant Reformation, there was a lot of heretical Roman baggage that followed the Reformed movement. This led to the rise of back to the Bible groups, both within the ranks of the established churches and separate from those churches.

The back to the Bible groups returned more closely to Biblical truth and practice, as seen in a more personal and experiential relationship with God, as well as a greater emphasis on missions, evangelism, Biblical authority, church structure, the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

The back to the Bible groups have also had their fair share of problems, failures, heresies and corrupt leaders. In fact the Bible tells us that the end times Church will be so backslidden that Jesus will be on the outside, seeking admission to His Own people.

Jesus is saying, IF ANYONE hears my voice and opens to me, I will come into that person and will feast with him and he with me.

Receive and follow the Biblical truths that your church offers you. But your church is not lining up with the word of God, it is time to come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord.
