03/01/19 FOUNDATIONS STONES TO UNDERSTANDING

Divinely inspired revelation is Genuine, Authentic, Inerrant. Bible writers were Inspired, but we are Enlightened by the Bible.

TERMS...
DIVINE, referring to the Triune God of the Holy Bible.

INSPIRED, referring to Divine guiding, enabling holy prophets and apostles to write that which God assigned them to write, without error.

REVELATION, referring to that which God communicated to His holy prophets and apostles.

GENUINE, referring to truth that the Bible books were written by the men, and at the times assigned to them.

AUTHENTICITY, referring to the facts recorded in the Bible as being true and accurate, and being consistent with the original revelation from God.

INERRANT and INFALLIBLE, referring to the revelation of God (as delivered to the writers of Scripture) being without error and being truthful. The autographs (original writings of the holy prophets and apostles) were without mistakes in transcription and in information.

ENLIGHTENED, referring to the work of God in a believers, when He enables them to receive, believe, understand the message of salvation and the revelation of truth in the Bible. Enlightenment, coupled with natural skills, training give a person understanding, but does not make them inerrant or infallible.
