02/13/19 WHY WE WITNESS

We witness (evangelize) because: 1) we are TOLD TO, 2) we WANT TO, 3) we NEED TO.
(I'll address these 3 points later)

I hope to address these three points in later posts.

However, let me point out that we only need one reason to witness (evangelize), and that is because GOD TELLS US TO WITNESS, EVANGELIZE.

I can make my other two points fit into this first point by saying, WE WANT TO DO WHAT GOD COMMANDS (which is true) and, WE NEED TO DO WHAT GOD COMMANDS (which is also true).

However, there is also the other side, the human side to the other two points.
Since Christians have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and have become partakers of Divine nature, we not only want to witness because God tells us to witness, we want to witness because we don't want anyone to die without Christ and spend eternity in torment.

Also, the unsaved need us to witness, to evangelize. Yes, God commands us to witness, but the lost condition of man and the fact that there is only one way of salvation stirs us to tell the lost about the GOOD NEWS of Jesus.

As I said, I hope to come back and give Biblical support to the three reasons we witness (evangelize).
